HP vs17x LCD monitor flashing colors on the screen one at a time. I can’t access bios. How do I reset?
ByI put in the video card without disabling integrated graphics. I take the video card out and everything boots up fine. I just can’t access monitor functions. The screen flashes different colors every few seconds. I don’t know what to do at this point.

first check your new connection to your video card. if it is a timed change the maybe just maybe the new video is either broken or your old video is trying to act as primary; who knows. in my opinion I would disable the onboard or set your primary video to the new video not the onboard. this can be done in the bios before your new video card is inserted. if there is no setting for this. disable the onboard then shut down, then install the new video card; check your manual for the proper way to do this. Lastly if you screw up the bios you can always reset to default. but you are doing the installation so use at your own experience level. I trust manuals first then forums to help.
